Additional amendments official passports in Vietnam representative agencies abroad

Additional amendments to official passports in Vietnam representative agencies abroad is a service that allows Vietnamese citizens living abroad to make changes to their official passports without having to return to Vietnam. This service is available at all Vietnamese embassies and consulates abroad.

To apply for additional amendments to your official passport, you will need to submit the following documents:

A completed Declaration Form 01/Immigration for Issuance of Diplomatic Passports, Official Passports
Three identical passport-size photos (4x6cm), taken on a light background with straight eyes and bare head, no colored glasses, and plain clothes, taken no more than one year ago
A copy of your current official passport
A copy of your decision or notification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or management agency news agencies and newspapers of Vietnam state resident abroad about changing positions, if applicable
A copy of your lost passport application certified by the authorities in the host country, if applicable

Once you have submitted all of the required documents, the Vietnamese embassy or consulate will process your request and issue you a new official passport with the requested amendments.

Here are some examples of additional amendments that can be made to an official passport:

Addition of a child under 14 years old to the passport of a parent

	4.	01 copy of the decision or notification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or management agency news agencies and newspapers ofVietnam state resident abroad about changing positions for the casereferred to in paragraph 2 of Article 16 Circular No. 02/2013 / TT–BNG dated 06/25/2013 of the Ministry of foreign Affairs, guiding the granting, renewal, amendment and supplement of diplomaticpassports, official passports and diplomatic level applicants visa.
	5.	Diplomatic passports, official passports have been issued or reportedlost passport application certified by the authorities in the host country.
